Being a work at home mom and working super hard to get my business off the ground so that I can work from home full time and have a successful business, I am always looking to learn new things and I read a lot of books that are geared towards motivation and owning your own business.
My most recent read was a book I received called The Barefoot Executive by Carrie Wilkerson.
This book helps you discover what you already have to offer, how to use it to your own advantage and where to find the people who are eager to buy it. It will pull you over the hurdle of uncertainty and get you moving, planning, and doing.
This was a great experience for me because I am so truly passionate about my business. I have been in the home based business/direct sales industry for a very long time and have finally found a business that fits me and everything I believe in and care about. As with all business owners I go through slow times and get frustrated and sometimes feel like just giving up. It happens when you feel like you have hit a brick wall. But this book has really helped to get me over that hump and start making another action plan.
This book talked about how to make your action plan and how to actually put it into action. The guidance that I got from this book was is just amazing. You need tools to build with and someone to learn them from and I believe this book really provides them. She shows you not only how to put your plan into action and the tools to build with but also how to get the results you are looking for.
It makes a difference when you read a book like this and you can tell the author's enthusiasm and core values through their writing. These are the people you really want to learn from. It is sort of like a map that takes you where you need to go and is there with you every step of the way.
So you think you don't have what it takes to run a business? Well I would definitely check out this book and think again!
